When the famed Woodwards department store closed at the end of 1992, Mr. Rowland purchased all of the animated window displays from Woodwards. Following the purchase and after searching for a large enough venue to display them all in, he chose Canada Place to become the new caretaker of these memories.
Having a large inventory of new and antique Christmas props, Creatix continues the tradition of delightful animated and illuminated displays all over the city. Everything from flying reindeer to antique sleighs, complete with decorated trees in various office lobbies.
Thousands of miniature coloured LED lighting covered the trees, shrubs and gazebos in the magical Park & Tilford Gardens, creating a winter fantasy of colour to behold.
Creatix creates, delivers, and installs custom Santa displays to showcase the season of giving. With animated figures, to talking clocks and Christmas trees, each creation is unique and can be tailored to specific marketing needs.
For over a dozen years Creatix supplied all of the self propelled parade floats, ranging from 30 to 60 feet in length. At times Creatix had more than 12 floats on each parade day.
Creatix Studios designed, built, installed and decorated the original Vancouver Christmas Market for the years that it was located on the Plaza of the Queen Elizabeth Theater.
Creatix was asked to source all materials and install the project in Italy. All items were manufactured in our shop near Vancouver and shipped overseas to Italy.
Creatix Studios completed a number of projects for the Olympic venue in Vancouver, including this Indigenous log carving building situated on the front plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Creatix hired a log builder to erect the shell, but designed the rest of the building to lock up, including the construction of the decking, doors, windows and interior additions.
A complete immersive experience was created that showcased the lush surroundings within the province of British Columbia. This travelling exhibit was installed across Canada, the USA, and Guangzhou China.

Creatix's 'FOGSCREEN' was showcased in this traveling exhibit in Chicago in which visitors walked through a magical flowing river of dry fog creating a waterfall effect. This portable unit creates dazzling walkthrough effects when projected upon with logos, photos or videos.
Using an aluminum Octanorm display system, Creatix designed and built many pavillions to showcase the Canadian government and private sector businesses.
